The Hebrew writer wanted to teach about Melchizedek, but the readers were not prepared to understand. Many had not progressed in their understanding of Christ and how He had fulfilled the Old Covenant. They needed to dig into their Scriptures and study! We can surely take a lesson from these warnings and encouragements.
